The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the National Stock Exchange (NSE), forex and money markets as well as all commodity markets, including bullion and oils and oilseeds, will be closed on Friday, on account of Maharashtra Day. The money markets will remain closed on Monday too.

The benchmark Sensex and Nifty fell for the third straight week on Thursday to their lowest level in nearly four months, led by declines in blue chips as the monthly derivative contract expired. While the 30-share Sensex closed down 0.79 per cent at 27,011.31, the 50-share Nifty fell 0.71 per cent to 8,181.50. Both the indices closed at their lowest level since January 7, 2015.

Meanwhile the Indian rupee fell for the second day on Thursday, closing down by 12 paise at 63.42 against the US currency due to month-end dollar demand from importers and fall in stocks markets.
