Nifty Ends Above 9,900 Mark

Markets ended in positive territory after a range bound intraday trade. Nifty ended gaining 33 points at 9,917 level and BSE Sensex closed higher gaining 84 points at 31,730 level.Wipro is the top Nifty gainer closing higher by 2.28% at Rs 297.85 per share.Reliance, HDFC and Maruti were the top index gainers in Thursday’s trade. Reliance Industries closed higher by 2.02% at 1,595 per share, HDFC closed higher by 1.11% at Rs 1,779 per share and Maruti Suzuki gained 1.67% at Rs 7,696 per share.
BSE Mid-cap index closed higher by 0.22% at 15,539. BSE Small-cap index closed higher by 0.84% at 16,001. India VIX closed lower by 7.2% at 11.9.

There were 974 advances, 656 declines and 332 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting a positive undertone floating in the market.Wipro, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Power are the top Nifty gainers, whereas Bosch, Bharti Infratel and Coal India are the top Nifty losers.Defence stocks were buzzing during Thursday’s trading session amid volatile market ahead of August derivative expiry. Defence stocks namely Astra Microwave Products closed higher by 3.13% at Rs 130 per share, Reliance Defence and Engineering closed higher by 6.86% at Rs 57.65 per share and Walchandnagar Industries closed higher 2.84% at Rs 144.85 per share.

The share of Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company was buzzing on Thursday’s trading session amid volatile market. The stock breached upper circuit at Rs 114.80. It also traded new 52 week high at Rs 114.80 per share on Thursday. The stock closed higher by 9.96% at Rs 114.80 per share.

Bank Nifty lost 60 points or 0.25% at 24,248 level.

Meanwhile, Nifty Realty is the only index trading in positive territory. The index is trading higher by 0.33% at 277.55 level.Contributing majorly to index gains DeltaCorp is the top index gainer soaring by 3.48% at Rs 194.80 per share followed by Sobha up 3.4% at Rs 194.80 per share.On the contrary, Phoenix Mills is down 1.24% at Rs 516 per share followed by HDIL down 0.80% at Rs 61.75 per share. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,589 down 56 points, while Nifty is trading at 9870 down 13 points. A total of 50 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 18 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

Nifty opened at 9,888 level, up 4 points while Sensex opened at 31,649 level, up by 3 points.Wipro was top Nifty gainer trading at Rs 295.05 per share, up by 1.32% while NTPC was top Nifty loser trading at Rs 164.35 per share, down by 2.14%. Market Recovers Tuesdays Losses Nifty Ends Below 9,900

In the broader markets, BSE Mid-cap index outperformed the major indices, closed at 15,505 level, up by 1.49%. BSE Small-cap index closed at 15,864 level, up by 1.33%.Bank Nifty ended at 24,308 level, up by 179 points. Yes Bank was the top gainer in the index closed at Rs 1,750 per share, up by 1.65%.

BSE Oil & Gas was the top gaining index, which closed at 15,093 level, up by 2.32%. Hindustan Petroleum was the top gainer on the index ending at Rs 485 per share, up by 3.77%.BSE Metal was the top gaining index, closing at 13,292 level, up by 2.64%. JSW Steel was top gainer on the index, closing at Rs 260.1 per share, up by 5.28%.NTPC OFS got subscribed by 0.69 times by the retail portion as of 1525 hours. The issue was oversubscribed by 1.4 times by the non-retail investors in the previous trading session. Infosys founder, NR Narayana Murthy defended his role while speaking to investors during the concall held on Tuesday saying that his actions were in the interest of shareholders. The stock of Infosys ended at Rs 926.7 per share, marginally down by 0.08%.

HDFC twins and Reliance Industries have been contributing the most to its gains.Nifty Metal is top gainer among the sectoral indices on NSE trading at 3,455 level, up by 67 points or 1.98%. Markets ended their trade in red strongly led by bearish sentiments. Nifty in the mid-market hours breached the 9800 mark and again slipped below the crucial level. Nifty 50 index ended below 50-DMA at 9810 level. Sensex lost over 350 points majorly led by HDFC twins, Infosys and Reliance Industries. Both the benchmark indices lost over 1% at the closing hours of trade.Tech Mahindra was the top Nifty gainer finishing its today’s trade up 1.23% at Rs 433 per share.

Bank Nifty closed lower by 248 points or 1.02% at 24,128 levels.All sectoral indices on BSE ended in red wherein BSE Telecom was the top loser slipping 1.87%. NTPC was the biggest index loser after Government has diluted its stake via OFS. The stock closed lower by 2.88% at Rs 168.35 per share on BSE. Nifty closed lower by 116 points at 9796 level. BSE Sensex closed lower by 362 points at 31,388 level.

BSE Mid-cap index closed lower by 130 points at 15,277. BSE Small-cap index closed lower by 166 points at 15,651. India VIX closed higher by 7.1% at 13.54.There were 385 advances, 1099 declines and 35 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting a negative undertone floating in the market.Tech Mahindra, M&M and ZEE Entertainment Enterprise are the top Nifty gainers, whereas Bank of Baroda, NTPC and Hindalco are the top Nifty losers.NTPC Limited, a public sector power generation company’s offer for sale gets over-subscribed on Tuesday. The non-retail portion of NTPC OFS got oversubscribed by 1.41 times.

Markets continue to sink as it approaches towards the closing hours of trade. In Nifty50 index there are only 5 advances and 46 declines indicating strong bearish sentiments.BSE Sensex lost over 350 points majorly contributed by HDFC and Reliance Industries.Broader market indices are also following the trend and lost over 100 points to trade at lower levels.

All sectoral indices on NSE are trading in negative territory wherein Nifty Financial Services is the top index loser.Meanwhile, BSE Telecom index is the top index loser among sectoral indices on BSE. The index slipped 1.97% at 1425 level. Bharti Airtel is majorly contributing to index losses and dragging it to lower levels. Bharti Airtel is down 1.6% at Rs 428 per share.

On the contrary, OnMobile Global is up by 1.66% at Rs 58.20 per share and ITI is up 1.31% at Rs 92.65 per share. The S&P BSE Sensex is down 354 points at 31,396, while Nifty is down 116 points at 9796. Nifty opened at 9,886 level, down by 26 points while Sensex opened at 26 level, down by 31,724 points.IOC was top Nifty gainer trading at Rs 9,870 per share, up by 0.61% whereas NTPC was top Nifty loser trading at Rs 167.6 per share, down by 3.29%. There were 477 advances, 924 declines and 504 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting strong positive sentiments floating in the market.

On the broader markets, BSE Mid-cap index was trading at 15,399 level, down by 0.05% while BSE Small-cap index was trading at 15,800 level, down by 0.11%. Nifty50 index after registering up-move for fourth session in a row, now needs to cross major hurdle of 9,930-9,940 and if it does sustain above this resistance zone it may extended its up-move upto levels of 9,980-10,020. On the flip side, the region of 9,870-9,980 is an immediate support level and if this support is breached next support stands at 9,840.

Nifty Pharma index has slipped from its day’s high point to trade higher by 0.72% at 8,965 level.Divi’s Laboratories was the top gainer in the index trading at Rs 691.5 per share, up by 2.69%. India and China have agreed to disengage from the Sikkim border that began in June easing geo-political tensions between two neighbours.Nifty50 index has slightly moved upward in afternoon trade. All the sectoral indices on NSE have been trading in positive territory showing strong positive sentiments floating in the market. Infosys is still top gainer in the Nifty and Sensex holding its morning gains and contributing the most tot their gains.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,770 level up by 174 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9,912 level up 55 points. A total of 50 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 32 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

Major indices have been holding their morning gains and are not witnessing any strong movement. Infosys and HDFC are top contributors to their gains. Nifty’s immediate support is placed at 9900 and resistance at 9940 mark.

Nifty PSU Bank index has turned into negative territory and is trading 4 points lower at 3,318 level. Canara Bank is top loser in the index trading at Rs 339.6 per share, down by 0.47%. Broader market indices have been outperforming the major indices in the market.

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,746 level up by 150 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9,904 level up 47 points. A total of 45 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 27 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

Nifty and Sensex have extended opening gains. Up-move in Bank Nifty index has pushed the major indices to higher levels. Bank Nifty index touched its intraday high of 24,398 level, up by 124 points. Bank of Baroda is top gainer in the index trading at Rs 145.15 per share, up by 1.61%. Federal Bank and IDFC Bank were also trading in positive territory, higher by more than 1%.

Heavyweight bank stock, HDFC Bank has moved to green zone after opening with the marginal loss. The stock is trading at Rs 1765.2 per share, up by 0.15%. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,766 level up by 170 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9,912 level up 55 points. A total of 42 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 25 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The stock is contributing the most to Nifty and Sensex gains.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,747 level up by 151 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9,901 level up 44 points. A total of 33 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 17 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.63% at 15,348, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.71% at 15,756.Some buying activity is seen in all the sectors on BSE reflecting positive undertone in the market.Infosys, Eicher Motors, Sun Pharma, NTPC and Adani Ports are among the gainers, whereas Power Grid, TCS, BPCL, Indiabulls Housing Finance and ITC are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.The INDIA VIX is up 1.19% at 12.72.

Nifty opened at 9,907 level, up by 50 points while Sensex opened at 160 level, up by 31,756 points. Infosys is top Nifty gainer trading at Rs 947.9 per share, up by 3.92%.There were 922 advances, 409 declines and 492 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting positive sentiments floating in the market.

Nifty50 has resistance placed around the level of 9,900 and the next resistance is placed around the level of 9,930. On the way downside, the level of 9,830 is an immediate support level and the next support is seen around 9,770.Rupee opened at 63.87 per USD.

Among the sectoral indices, Nifty Pharma is top gainer trading at 8,724 level, up by 108 points or 1.26%. Cadila Healthcare is top gainer in the index trading at Rs 485.4 per share, up by 4.92%. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,592 up 24 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 9,860 up 8 points. A total of 22 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 18 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.33% at 15,180, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.24% at 15,612.Some buying activity is seen in IT, Capital Goods, Metal, while Realty, Finance, Telecom are showing weakness on BSE.Sun Pharma, Tata Power, Infosys, Lupin and Tech Mahindra are among the gainers, whereas Adani Ports, Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC and Bajaj-Suto are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.The INDIA VIX is down 0.73% at 13.08.
