Nifty has pared morning gains and is struggling below important level of 9,800. Immediate support for Nifty is placed at 9,700 and resistance at 9,800. Broader market indices are continued to see selling pressure.Indiabulls Housing Finance is dragging down the BSE Mid-cap index and is trading at Rs 1,178.45 per share, down by 1.71%. Apollo Tyres is dragging BSE Small-cap index trading at Rs 259.45 per share, down by 3.28%.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,332 up 73 points, while Nifty is trading at 9,779 up 25 points. A total of 12 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 41 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.17% at 14,961, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down by 0.41% at 15,404.
Some buying activity is seen in IT, Metal, Oil & Gas and Healthcare while Capital Goods, Consumer Durables, Realty and Power are showing weakness on BSE.Tech Mahindra, Bharti Infratel, IOC, Lupin and Axis Bank are among the gainers, whereas Bank of Baroda, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Hero MotoCorp, State Bank of India and Yes Bank are losing sheen on NSE.The INDIA VIX is down by 3.18% at 14.34.
