Meanwhile Nifty Bank gained over 160 points or 0.67% at 24,134 levels contributed majorly by Punjab National Bank. The stock is up 1.96% at Rs 140.70 per share.BSE Telecom Index is one of the top gaining indices trading higher by 1.30% at 1433 level. Bharti Airtel is contributing majorly to index gains. Bharti Airtel is up 1.98% at Rs 430 per share.
Other stocks in the index viz. HFCL is up 2.86% at Rs 16.20 per share, GTL Infra is up 2.69% at Rs 6.85 per share.On the contrary, Bharti Infratel is down 0.92% at Rs 383.75 per share.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,436 up 145 points, while Nifty is trading at 9807 up 42 points. A total of 69 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 75 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
