Benchmark indices are trading in green followed by broader market indices showcasing strong bullish sentiments. BSE Midcap index and Small-cap index are trading higher by nearly 1%, respectively.
Infosys jumped 2.49% at Rs 899.00 per share on the back of news reported by a leading business agency that Nandan Nilekani may return to head Infosys. There was a sharp surge seen in the traded volume of the stock.

Meanwhile, Nifty PSU Bank index was the top gaining index among other indices. The index soared higher by 1.57% at 3283 level.Allahabad Bank is the top index gainer trading at 4.13% at Rs 66.75 per share followed by Union Bank up by 3.30% at Rs 133.20 per share, Bank of India is up 3.23% at Rs 143.65 per share. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,447 up 155 points, while Nifty is trading at 9806 up 40 points. A total of 72 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 82 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
