Nifty continues to trade in the tight narrow range in the afternoon hour on Monday. Resistance level remains unchanged at 10100 level. Tata Steel is top gainer in the index trading at Rs 596 per share, up by 3.54%.

Nifty Metal index was trading at 3339 level, up by 37 points or 1.14%. Jindal Steel is top gainer in the index trading at Rs 143.7 per share, up by 3.87%. other metal stocks like Orissa Mine, MOIL, SAIL, Welspun Corporation and APL Apollo Tubes are trading in positive territory, up by over 1%.

There were 1042 advances, 579 declines and 361 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting strong positive sentiments in the market.The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 32313 down 14 points, while Nifty is trading at 10069 up by 3 points. A total of 71 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 38 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
