Nifty has recovered from day’s low and has managed to hold its crucial support of 9,940 level. Bank Nifty on the other hand has also recovered from day’s low, trading above its crucial support of 24,400 mark.Major private bank stocks continue to stay in negative territory. Axis Bank is now the top loser in Bank Nifty index trading at Rs 493.9 per share, down by 1.11%. ICICI bank was down by 0.9% at Rs 292.85 per share.
There were 485 advances, 1,075 declines and 376 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting strong negative sentiments floating in the market. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,895 down 118 points, while Nifty is trading at 9,948 down 30 points. A total of 17 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 68 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
