SGX Nifty is currently trading in the green up 38 points at 11175.
Markets could witnesses a volatile session as we come to the end of the July expiry today, positive result earnings coupled with short covering could lead the Indices to lifetime highs in today’s trade.

Major Asian markets are trading marginally in the red at present; Nikkei is down 0.14%, Hang Seng is down 0.21%, while Shanghai Composite is trading 0.16% lower.
US Markets: Stocks ended on a strong note in yesterday’s trade. The Dow rose 0.7% to 25,414.10, the Nasdaq jumped 1.2% to 7,932.24 and the S&P 500 surged 0.9 % to 2,846.07. The positive rally on Wall Street was seen following a report from the Wall Street Journal said the European Union delegation meeting with Trump agreed to consider changes in its current trade policies in an effort to ease ongoing tension with the U.S.
European markets ended in the red yesterday with the FTSE down 0.66%, CAC was down 0.14% while DAX closed 0.87% lower.
FII Data: In yesterday’s trading session, FIIs sold 1195 crores stock in the cash market whereas DIIs bought 97 crores worth of stock. In the derivative market, FIIs sold 206 crores of Index futures and sold 207 crores worth of Index options. In the Stock futures segment, FIIs bought 3 crores worth of stock futures and bought 391 crores stock options
FII View: In yesterday’s trading session, FII covered their short positions in the options market which is deduced by the fact that they reduced 10102 short contracts in Index Call options. While simultaneously creating marginal bullish positions which is indicated by 3471 short contracts created in Index Put options. The net positions in the July series continue to remain on the long side which is indicated by the long/short ratio which currently stands at 2.1x
