The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 26474.36 up 125 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,163.25 up 35 points. A total of 14 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 6 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Out of 1,879 stocks traded on the NSE, 346 declined, 1156 advanced and 377 remained unchanged. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.97% at 12310.20, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.74% at 12144.25.
Some buying activity is seen in Oil & Gas, Pharma, Auto, Capital Goods, Metal, while FMCG, Consumer Durables, Telecom are showing weakness on BSE. Tata Power, HDFC, Zee Entertainment, Idea, Adani Ports, are among the gainers, whereas ITC, HUL, IndusInd Bank, Axis Bank, Infratel are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour. The INDIA VIX is down 0.86% at 17.1375.
