The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 26439.36 up 90 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8160.10 up 35 points. A total of 22 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 7 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Out of 1,882 stocks traded on the NSE, 461 declined, 1097 advanced and 324 remained unchanged. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.65% at 12360.26, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.71% at 12200.61.
Some buying activity is seen in Oil & Gas, Capital Goods, Bank, Information Technology while FMCG, Consumer Durables, Telecom are showing weakness on BSE. HDFC, Tata Power, Idea, Gail, Zee Entertainment, Adani Ports are among the gainers, whereas HUL, ITC, HUL, Eicher Motors, Bosch, PowerGrid, Ultra Cement are losing sheen on NSE.
The INDIA VIX is down 1.89% at 16.9600. Indiabulls Real Estate Limited to buyback equity shares worth Rs 540 crore.
