D-Street Buzz: IT Stocks Gain Led By Tech Mahindra RIL Recovers Taj GVK Spikes 14%

The Indian benchmark indices are trading on a positive note in this Thursday morning session with the Nifty50 up 10 points, trading at 10,610 while the Sensex gained 37 points at 35,237.

Nifty IT is the outperforming sector, up 1 percent led by Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Mindtree, Tata Elxsi, TCS, Infosys and HCL Tech.

Selective media stocks are also buzzing led by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Zee Media and DEN Networks.


From the oil & gas space, ONGC added 1 percent while Reliance Industries gained half a percent.

From the BSE midcap space, the top gainers are Indian Hotels followed by GMR Infra and Dewan Housing Finance while the top losers are Ajanta Pharma, GE T&D and Castrol India.

From the BSE smallcap space, the top gainers are Kesoram Industries, Andrew Yule & Company, Emkay Global Financial Services and Taj GVK.

The top losers included Huhtamaki PPL, Ashapura Intimates and Ruby Mills.

The top gainers from NSE include Tech Mahindra, Zee Entertainment, ONGC, TCS and HCL Tech.

The top losers included Infosys, Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel, Asian Paints, BPCL and HPCL.

The most active stocks were YES Bank, TCS, DHFL, Jet Airways and Infosys.

Adani Gas and Birla Cable are some of the few stocks which hit new 52-week high on the NSE.

19 stocks have hit new 52-week low including names like ABG Shipyard, Bombay Rayon, CARE Ratings, NTPC and Somany Ceramics among others.
