Taking weak global cues on account of US Fed’s statement for ‘further gradual increase’ in interest rate post its meeting, the Indian equity market remained sluggish despite its attempt to move upward from the crucial level and closed the weekend session in the negative trajectory.
However, buying across pharma and automobile sectors helped the index to minimise downside which enabled the market to end the weekly session on a flat note with a marginal gain.
In a week gone by, the Nifty index touched a weekly high of 10,619 levels but failed to sustain the level to touch intraday-low of 10,544 levels while it made a weekly low of 10,475 levels.
