The Indian equity market was trading on a flat to negative note on Monday morning with the Nifty shedding 5 points was trading at 10,558 while the Sensex was down 50 points or 0.15 percent.
The Nifty Realty index was up 1 percent led by stocks like Phoenix Mills which jumped over 2 percent followed by Godrej Properties, Oberoi Realty and Brigade Enterprises.
CNX Energy was also trading in the green led by BPCL which added 2 percent while Reliance Industries gained 0.73 percent. HPCL and IOC were the other sectoral gainers.
The top Nifty gainers included HPCL and BPCL which jumped over 2 percent each while Zee Entertainment and Indian Oil Corporation were up 1.5 percent. IndusInd Bank was the other gainer.
