The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 26,236 down 68 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,943 down 13 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.26% at 10,843, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.39% at 11,076.
Some buying activity is seen in capital goods, IT, pharma, consumer durables, teck and fmcg sectors, while auto, metal, oil & gas and power sectors are showing weakness on BSE. L&T, Infosys, SBI, Cipla, HDFC, TCS, HDFC Bank and RIL are among the gainers, whereas REC,CESC, Reliance Power and Den Networks are losing sheen on BSE.
The India VIX (Volatility) index is down 2.3% to 18.84. Out of 1,742 stocks traded on the NSE, 838 declined and 556 advanced today.A total of 13 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 36 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
