The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 25,741 up 114 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,884 up 33 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.80% at 11,004, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.92% at 11,044.
Infosys, Lupin,Cipla, M&M, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, ITC and Tata Steel are among the gainers, whereas ONGC, TCS, SBI, ICICI Bank, GAIL and Dr.Reddy's are losing sheen on BSE. Some buying activity is seen in IT, consumer durables, FMCG and Teck sector, while banking, oil and gas, power and finance are showing weakness on BSE.
The INDIA VIX is up 7.06% at 17.1675. Out of 1,812 stocks traded on the NSE, 604 declined, 897 advanced and 311 remained unchanged today. A total of 25 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 13 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Steel Strips Wheels Ltd stock was higher by 4% at Rs. 383. The company has bagged export order for supply of High Speed Trailer EuroDean trailer market Order comprises of supplying about 25,000 wheels in the next 6 months from SSWL'S Chennai plant' This order is valued to about Euro 155'000'.
