The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 25,804 down 12 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,897 down 18 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.06% at 11,060, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.46% at 11,115.
Tata Steel, Axis Bank, GAIL, Wipro, Coal India, HDFC, ONGC, NTPC, Adani Ports and Dr.Reddy's are among the gainers, whereas M&M, TCS, RIL, Maruti Suzuki,Sun Pharma, Asian Paints and Lupin and are losing sheen on BSE.
Some buying activity is seen in metal,consumer durables, power, capital goods, basic material, industrial, utilities and banking sector, while energy, IT, telecom, oil and gas, pharma, realty and auto are showing weakness on BSE.
The INDIA VIX is up 0.89% at 17.1000. Out of 1,800 stocks traded on the NSE, 670 declined, 836 advanced and 294 remained unchanged today. A total of 35 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 15 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
