The Indian stock market rallied for third consecutive session. The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened in green on Thursday following mixed global cues. The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 28,123 up 63 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,670 up 19 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.32% at 13,065 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.48% at 12,575. Cipla, Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto, ITC, TCS, Lupin, Hero MotoCorp, Sun Pharma and Asian Paints are among the gainers, whereas Wipro, Infosys, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and HDFC are losing sheen on BSE.
Some buying activity is seen in pharma, FMCG, oil and gas, banking, auto and utilities sectors, while telecom sector is showing weakness on BSE. The INDIA VIX is down 2.37% at 13.1675. Out of 1,847 stocks traded on the NSE, 542 declined, 951 advanced and 354 remained unchanged today.
A total of 72 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while nine stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The company has entered into Share Purchase Agreement with Cube Highways & Infrastructure Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore for sale of its entire equity stake in Andhra Pradesh Expressway Limited (APEL) for an aggregate value of Rs.140.37 crores.
