Markets are expected to continue the positive momentum witnessed in Monday's session as bulls try to regain control after last week’s sharp corrections.
Apollo Hospitals, Grasim, HDIL, Idea, Jet Airways, NCC, Nestle, Sun Pharma and Tata Power are some of the large-cap companies set to announce their results today.
Global markets
Major Asian markets are trading in the mixed, at present Shanghai Composite is trading 0.19 % lower while Hang Sang is trading up 0.62%. Nikkei is trading down 0.81%.
US Markets: Wall Street managed to end yesterday’s session in the green after witnessing weakness in the initial half of the session.
The Dow edged up 0.2% to 24,640.45, the Nasdaq advanced 0.5% to 7,013.51 and the S&P 500 rose 0.3% to 2,662.94.
The rebound came as traders looked ahead to the release of reports on consumer prices and retail sales on Wednesday.
European markets closed in the red yesterday with FTSE down 0.13%, CAX was down 0.62% and DAX closed 0.71% lower.

In the derivative market, FII’s sold 1481 crores of index futures and sold 759 crores worth of Index options.
