The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 25,562 down 18 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,786 up mere one points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.34% at 11,211, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.57% at 11,968.
Some buying activity is seen in IT, telecom, pharma and teck sectors, while banking, oil & gas, metal, auto and FMCG sectors are showing weakness on BSE. RIL, Bharti Airtel, GAIL, Cipla, HDFC Bank, TCS, BHEL and HDFC Bank and Dr.Reddy's are among the gainers, whereas ITC, ICICI Bank, NTPC, Infosys and Tata Steel are losing sheen on BSE. The India VIX (Volatility) index is down 1.21% to 16.50. Out of 1,779 stocks traded on the NSE,509 declined and 1,000 advanced today. A total of 116stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while seven stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
