Media and Metal sectors on NSE opened in green on Monday’s trading session. All other sectors opened in red with Nifty IT and Nifty Pharma opening down by 0.71% and 0.38% respectively.
Nifty Media and Nifty Metal are surging rapidly in the morning hours gaining more than 1%. Den Networks Limited opened at Rs 88.45 per share losing Rs 0.20 per share or 0.23%. The stock is currently trading at Rs 90.75 per share gaining Rs 2.10 per share or 2.37%.
Bhushan Steel Limited from the Metal sector is in focus today. The stock opened at Rs 49.80 per share losing 0.50% but now it is trading at Rs 55.70 per share up by Rs 5.65 per share or 11.29%.
Force Motors cracked on Monday's trading session on the back of poor Q3 FY17 results declared by the company. The company has reported weak numbers in Q3 FY17 with 14.86% decline in net profits.
UniChem Laboratories, the stock is trading up by more than 1% in the early trading hours on Monday. The drug maker has reported healthy results, wherein its Q3 FY17 profit stands at 26.10 crore, showing an increase of 26.33%.
L&T Technology Services is down by more than 1.5%. The profit of the company too has shrunk by 17% in this quarter. The profit of the company in Q3 FY17 stands at Rs 108.7 crore.
ONGC is up by 1.75% trading above Rs 200 per share. Tata Motors is up by 1.75% trading at Rs 532.30 per share. Tata Steel is up by 1.41% trading above Rs 460 per share. Adani Ports is trading at Rs 288 per share up by more than 1.2%. GAIL is up by 1.34% trading at Rs 466 per share.
The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 27128.90 up 94.4 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8388.15 up 38.8 points. A total of 29 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 7 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.25% at 12615.90, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.51% at 12826.44. Some buying activity is seen in Metal, Media, IT, FMCG while Pharma, Private Banks are showing weakness on BSE.
Grasim, Hindalco, ONGC, BPCL and Tata Motors are among the gainers, whereas ICICI Bank, AuroBindo Pharma, Axis Bank, Infratel and Bharti Airtel are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.
