On Thursday, the Jan futures of Nifty50 ended at a 21.4-point premium to the spot index, and open interest in the contract rose 1.7% to 23.9 mn.Foreign institutional investors net bought index options worth Rs9.97 bn but sold index futures worth Rs4.48 bn on the NSE on Thursday.
FIIs also net sold stock futures worth Rs1.08 bn.
On Thursday, FIIs net bought Indian shares worth Rs2.12 bn on the BSE, NSE, and the Metropolitan Stock Exchange combined. Domestic institutional investors also net bought shares worth Rs3.25 bn, according to provisional data on the NSE website.
