SGX Nifty indicating a positive opening for the Indian markets.

Markets are expected to continue the positive momentum as IMF projects the Indian economy to grow at 7.4% in 2018 making it the fastest growing country among emerging markets.

Can Fin Homes, United Spirits, RBL Bank, Indiabulls Housing and RBL Bank are some of the major companies set to announce results today.

Global markets
Major Asian markets are trading in the green at present Nikkei is up 0.92%, Hang Seng is up 0.86%, while Shanghai Composite the is trading 0.29% higher.

US Markets: All the three major indices closed at record highs. The Dow rose 0.6% to 26,214.60, the Nasdaq jumped 1% to 7,408.03 and the S&P 500 climbed 0.8% to 2,823.97. The positive momentum was witnessed after the Senate voted 81 to 18 in favor of limiting debate on a short-term spending bill, which would fund the government through February 8th.

European markets also closed mixed yesterday with FTSE down 0.20 %, CAX up 0.28% and DAX closed 0.22% higher

FII Data: In yesterday’s session FII’s bought 1567 crores stock in the cash market whereas DII’s sold 461 crores worth of stock. In the derivative market, FII’s sold 1804 crores of Index futures and sold 3511 crores worth of Index options. In the Stock futures segment, FII’s bought 1077 crores worth of stock futures and bought 229 crores stock options.
