Equity benchmarks extended record run in early noon trade led by strong gains in HDFC Bank, HDFC, ITC and Larsen & Toubro.Benchmark indices continued to trade near record highs as the Sensex was trading with 400 points gains, however, midcaps lose ground with the Nifty Midcap falling nearly half a percent.
the BSE Sensex was trading at 35,491, up 326 points, while the broader Nifty50 index was ruling at 10,854, up 66 points.

Shares of Suven Life Sciences rose nearly 4% today after the company informed exchanges that it has received one product patent each in China and Sri Lanka, for the treatment of disorders associated with Neurodegenerative diseases.

DB Corp's third quarter consolidated net profit fell 33.9% year-on-year to Rs78.1cr.

Mindtree hit a 52-week high after the compared reported a better than expected 13.4% quarter on quarter growth in net profit at Rs141cr for December quarter. The information technology services company had a profit of Rs103cr in the previous quarter.

Volatility index India VIX inched up 0.64% at 13.9500.

Indiabulls HF (+4%), UPL (+3.9%), HDFC Bank (+3%), Yes Bank (+2.9%) and ITC (+2.8%) were the top gainers on Nifty50.

Infratel (-4.9%), Vedanta (- 3.2%), UltraTech (-3.5%), Tata Steel (-3.3%), Hindalco (-2.6%) and HPCL (-2.3%) were the top losers in today’s trade.

Out of 2,013 stocks traded on the NSE, 481 advanced, 1,248 declined and 284 remained unchanged today.

A total of 81 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while four stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
