Nifty Reclaims 10,750 Mark; Infosys Zooms 3%

Benchmark indices rallied further in afternoon trade, with Sensex hitting a fresh record high, as almost all sectoral indices barring Auto traded higher.Benchmark BSE Sensex hit its lifetime high led by gains in shares of banks and information technology companies.
the BSE Sensex was trading at 34,944, up 173 points, while the broader Nifty50 index was ruling at 10,746, up 45 points.

MCX slipped over 5% after the company posted a 35.6% fall in consolidated net profit at Rs18.8cr for the December quarter over the previous quarter ended September 30, 2017, on lower volumes in the bullion segment.

Shares of Compucom Software gained 3% as the company has received LoI of Rs32.99cr.

J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals stock rose 3% after the company said the Medicines Authority of Malta has granted European GMP approval to its manufacturing facilities located at Panoli, in Gujarat.

The BSE Mid-cap and BSE Small-cap indices were up 0.10% and 0.04%, respectively.

Volatility index India VIX slipped 1.45%.

Some of the buying sectors seen in IT, pharma, bank, metal, FMCG, auto and financial services, while realty and media sectors are losing sheen on the NSE.

Infosys (+2.6%), TCS (+2.1%), Adani Ports (+2%), ICICI Bank (+1.8%) and Axis Bank (+1.5%) were the top gainers on Nifty50.

GAIL (-1.9%), Wipro (-1.7%), Zee (-1.3%), Tata Motors (-1.3%) and Hero MotoCorp (-1.2%) were the top losers in today’s trade.

Out of 2,012 stocks traded on the NSE, 686 advanced, 1,008 declined and 318 remained unchanged today.
A total of 59 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while seven stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
