On Friday, the January futures of Nifty 50 ended at a 14.35-point premium to the spot index, and open interest in the contract rose 5.7% to 25.2 mn.Foreign institutional investors net sold index futures worth Rs12 bn but bought index options worth Rs7 bn on the NSE on Friday.
FIIs also net sold stock futures worth Rs907 mn.
On Friday, FIIs net bought Indian shares worth Rs5.81 bn on the BSE, NSE, and the Metropolitan Stock Exchange combined. Domestic institutional investors also net bought shares worth Rs2.4 bn, as per provisional data on NSE's website.
