Major Asian markets closed today.
US Markets: Ended the last session of the year in the red. The Dow dropped 0.5% to 24,719.22, the Nasdaq slid 0.7% to 6,903.39 and the S&P 500 fell 0.5% to 2,673.61.
European markets closed mixed on Friday with CAC down 0.51%, DAX down 0.48%, FTSE ended 0.84% higher.
FII /DII Data: In yesterday’s session FII’s bought 595 crores stock in the cash market whereas DII’s bought 461 crores worth of stocks. In the derivative market, FII’s bought 928 crores of Index futures and bought 2,258 crores worth of Index options. In the Stock futures segment, FII’s bought 521 crores worth of stock futures and sold 132 crores stock options.
