SGX Nifty also indicating a flat opening for the Indian markets.Major Asian markets are trading mixed. Shanghai Composite is up 0.30%, Hang Seng is up 0.20%, while the Nikkei is trading 0.22% lower.
US markets: The major averages once again managed to end the session at record closing highs. The Dow rose 0.4% to 25,385.80, the Nasdaq inched up 0.1% to 7,163.58 and the S&P 500 ended 0.1% higher at 2,751.29.
Stocks continued to benefit from recent upward momentum, which has lifted the markets to record highs amid optimism about the economic outlook.
European markets also closed in the green yesterday with FTSE up 0.45%, CAX up 0.66% and DAX up 0.13%.
FII Data: In yesterday’s session FII’s sold 303 crores stock in the cash segment whereas DII’s bought 522 crores worth of stock.
In the derivative market, FII’s bought 291 crores of Index futures and sold 101 crores worth of Index options.
In the stock futures segment, FII’s bought 360 crores worth of stock futures and sold 177 crores stock options.
