The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 23,328 down 226 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,090 down 73 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 2.16% at 9,734, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 1.77% at 9,830.
Some buying activity is seen in utilities and power sectors, while capital goods, metals,IT, FMGC and teck sectors are showing weakness on BSE. Adani Ports, NTPC, ONGC, Hero MotoCorp, Dr.Reddy's Lab and Tata Steel are among the gainers, whereas SBI, L&T, Axis Bank, Coal India, Lupin and Sun Pharma are losing sheen on BSE.
The INDIA VIX is 0.33% at 22.4500. Out of 1,791 stocks traded on the NSE, 1,208 declined, 309 advanced and 274 remained unchanged today. A total of five stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 45 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
