The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 24,540 up 202 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,466 up 62 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 1.48% at 10,168 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.86% at 10,455.
Lupin, Axis Bank, Cipla, DR Reddy, TATA Motors are among the gainers, whereas GAIL, Adani Ports, Maruti, NTPC and, Reliance are losing sheen on BSE. Some buying activity is seen in Metal, pharma, Banking, Basic Materials, Finance while Utlity and I.T sectors are showing weakness on BSE
The INDIA VIX is down 0.12% at 18.1850. Out of 1,786 stocks traded on the NSE, 527 declined , 991 advanced and 268 remained unchanged today. A total of 12 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 52 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Reliance Infrastructure zoomed 2% to Rs.417 on BSE. RInfra announced the signing of Share Purchase Agreement with Birla Corporation, the flagship Company of the M P Birla Group in relation to 100% sale of its subsidiary Reliance Cement Company Private.
