SGX Nifty indicating a flat opening for the Indian equities. Asian markets trade mixed

Global markets

Asian markets are trading mixed with Shanghai Composite, down 0.39%, Hang Seng up 0.21% while Nikkei is trading 1.25% higher.

US Markets stocks turned in a lackluster performance during trading yesterday.

The major averages ended the day on opposite sides of the unchanged line.

The Nasdaq rose 0.2% to 6,776.38, the Dow dipped 0.2% to 24,140.91 and the S&P 500 ended the session less than a tenth of a percent lower at 2,629.27.

The choppy trading on Wall Street came as traders expressed uncertainty about the economic impact of the Republican tax reform plan and concerns about the possibility of violence in the Middle East as President Donald Trump announced he is officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

European markets also ended mixed yesterday with FTSE up 0.28%, CAC down 0.02% and DAX ended 0.38% lower.

FII /DII Data: In yesterday’s trade FII’s sold 1217 crores stock in the cash market whereas DII’s bought 995 crores worth of stock.

In the derivative market, FII’s sold 446 crores of Index futures and bought 58 crores worth of Index options.

In the stock futures segment, FII’s bought 518 crores worth of stock futures and sold 35 crores stock options.
