The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 25,699 up 382 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,810 up 122 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 2.01% at 10,441, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 1.74% at 10,664. All sectoral indices are trading in green except CNX Pharma, the CNX Realty and Auto indices have jumped over 2% each at 165.35 and 7,809, respectively.
The India VIX (Volatility) index is down 0.23% at 24.51. Vedanta, Hindalco, NMDC, NTPC, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Cairn are among the gainers, whereas GAIL, Tech Mahindra, Power Grid, HUL, Sun Pharma and BPCL are losing sheen on NSE. The breadth is extremely positive in morning deals - out of 1,735 stocks traded on the BSE so far 1,233 stocks have advanced, while 272 stocks have declined.
