The 50-share Nifty index is expected to open higher on Tuesday following mixed trend seen in other Asian markets. Tracking the momentum, the index may reclaim its crucial psychological level of 7,600 levels in trade today. At 08:00 A.M., Nifty India stock futures in Singapore were trading 49 points higher at 7,610 indicating a higher opening on the domestic market.

The benchmark index crashed below the psychologically significant 25,000-mark -- its lowest level in about 14 months. The Sensex dropped by 308.09 points or 1.22 per cent to close at 24,893.81.The Nifty ended 1.2 per cent lower or 96.25 points or 7,558.80. Global sentiments have taken a big precedence over domestic factors. It's time for investors to keep their seat belts on until this uncertainty in the global markets settles down, say experts.
