The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 25,659 up 37 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,795 up mere seven points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.08% at 10,511, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.58% at 10,693.
ONGC, Infosys, HDFC, BPCL, Asian Paints and Wipro are among the gainers, whereas BHEL, Tata Power, Carin India, GAIL, Ambuja Cement and Axis Bank are losing sheen on BSE. Some buying activity is seen in IT, consumer durables, teck and realty sectors, while capital goods, metal, auto, banking, pharma and oil&gas sector is showing weakness on BSE. Out of 1,728 stocks traded on the NSE, 550 declined and 898 advanced today. The INDIA VIX is up 1.43% at 25.05. It hit a high of 25.26 and a low of 23.26.
