The 50-share Nifty index is expected to open flat-to-higher on Tuesday following positive trend seen in other Asian markets. Tracking the momentum, the index may reclaim its crucial psychological level of 8,000 in trade today. At 08:00 A.M., Nifty India stock futures in Singapore were trading 15.50 points higher at 7,993 indicating a higher opening on the domestic market.

Benchmark indices recouped some of the initial losses to end flat. The benchmark BSE index ended 0.1 per cent lower, while the broader NSE index slipped 0.06 per cent on Monday. "The index has been choppy in the last few days, not really outperforming but the structure is not yet negative. Level of 11,800 to about 11,920-11,930 remains a significant challenge for the CNX IT, but individual stocks are doing well."
