The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 27,012 up 232 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,182 up 74 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.80% at 11,007, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.62% at 11,507. All sectoral indices are trading in green on BSE. Tata Motors, GAIL, Hero MotoCorp, Maruti Suzuki, ITC, SBI, Lupin and Vedanta are among the gainers, whereas HUL, Hindalco, Wipro, Infosys and Cipla are losing sheen on BSE.
The India VIX (Volatility) index is down 2.84% to 17.21. Out of 1,747 stocks traded on the NSE, 490 declined and 966 advanced today. A total of 33 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while six stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Punj Llyod announced winning an EPCC at Paradip Refinery, Odisha from IOC for a value of Rs. 367 crore. The stock is currently trading at Rs. 28, up by 1.1 points or 4.09% from its previous closing of Rs. 26.9 on the BSE.
