Sensex Slips 200 Points; Banking, Pharma Stocks Drag

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 26,820 down 215 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,119 down 58 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 1.09% at 10,935, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.57% at 11,280.

All sectors are showing weakness on BSE except IT sector is in green. The India VIX (Volatility index) has jumped 2.2 percent at 19.76. Vedanta, Wipro, Infosys, Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Dr. Reddy's and Maruti Suzuki are among the gainers, whereas ITC, Hindalco, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Reliance Industries are losing sheen on BSE.
