Sensex, Nifty Rally; Consumer Durables, Pharma Stocks Gain

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 26,915 up 129 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,144 up 25 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.35% at 11,051, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.75% at 11,306.

Some buying activity is seen in consumer durable, auto, pharma, oil&gas, metals and realty sectors, while banking, teck and IT sector is showing weakness on BSE. Tata Motors, Coal India, Cipla, Dr.Reddy's, GAIL and Sun Pharma are among the gainers, whereas BHEL, Infosys, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Auto and Maruti Suzuki are losing sheen on BSE.

Out of 1,734 stocks traded on the NSE, 673 declined and 794 advanced today. A total of 44 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 134 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
