Nifty and Sensex seem to trade on a mixed note, followed by weak trades in several sectors. Pharma sector continues to gain with Divi’s Lab gaining over 15%. Banking sectors rising slowly with ICICI bank gaining around 2%.
At 11:49 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 33,594, down by 6 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,433 down by 6 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.74% at 16,769.87 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up by 0.51% at 17,787.75.
Aurobindo Pharma, Dr Reddy’s Lab, Lupin, GAIL, and Sun Pharma are among the gainers, whereas Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindalco, and Tata Motors are losing steam on NSE.
Some buying seen in Basic Materials, Energy, Finance, Healthcare Utilities, Banks, Consumer Durables, and Power, whereas FMCG, Industrials, Auto, Telecom, Metal, Reality and Teck sectors show weakness on the BSE.
Solar Ind shares up 2% on Rs 11.4 bn contract.
GOCL Corp shares up 5% as arm gets RS 3.2 bn order.
Hexaware shares up 3% as Jul-Sep consol PAT beats estimate.
Au Small Finance shares up 4% on partnership with Cholamandalam.
NTPC shares down 1.3% due to a blast in Rae Bareli boiler.
The India Vix is down by 2.08% at 11.88.
Out of 1,975 stocks traded on the NSE, 941 advanced, 678 declined, and 356 remained unchanged today.
A total of 69 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 7 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
