Nifty and Sensex continue to keep their morning gains on the back of strong Pharma and Telecom Index.Indices touch new high in the afternoon on the back of strong pharma index. Dr Reddy and Sun Pharma gain 5% and 4% to push Pharma Index up. Telecom sector gains as strong buying is seen in Rcom and Bharti Airtel, which rose by 11% and 2% respectively.
Sensex is trading at 33,542, up 182 points, while Nifty is trading at 10,349, up 51 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading higher by 0.43% at 16,849, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading at 17,886, up 0.78% .

India Vix is trading lower by 1.15% at 13.27 level.
Among the 1,981 stocks being traded, 1,107 advanced, 553 declined and 321 remained unchanged.
A total of 86 stocks have touched 52-week high, while 11 stocks dipped to 52-week low since morning on the NSE.
Thermax stock surges 3%. Trading volume was 21.6 times its 20-day average.
Canara Bank board approves divestment of stake in Can Fin Homes, Canbank Computer Services and Canara Robeco Asset Management. Stock advances 1%.
Nifty Pharma Index rises 2%. Dr.Reddy's, Sun Pharma, Cipla (+3%), Lupin (+2%).
