Markets End Higher On The Back Of Metal, Realty Stocks

Nifty reclaims on the 10,300 level on back of strong gains from the Metal and Realty indices.HDIL and DLF gain by 2% each.
Indian markets opened today on a mixed note following the cues of US Markets. However, the market rebound from the early losses, owing to the strong push by Metal and Realty stocks. Nifty crossed the 10,300 level, only to close a little lower as the closing bell struck.

Sensex ended trade at 33,359, up by 17 points, while Nifty closed at 10,298 up by 15 points.

The BSE Mid-cap Index closed higher by 0.60% at 16,773 whereas BSE Small-cap Index ended down by 0.81% at 17,747.

On the BSE, Energy, FMCG, Healthcare, Industrials, Telecom, Utilities, Metal and Reality sectors gained, while IT and Teck sectors showed weakness.

India Vix is trading lower by 2.40% at 13.38 level.

Among the 1,992 stocks being traded, 1026 advanced, 659 declined, and 307 remained unchanged.

A total of 75 stocks have touched their 52-week high, while 20 stocks dipped to their 52-week low, since morning, on the NSE.

Dixon Tech stock spurted by 6% on the BSE, its highest level since listing on Sept 18, 2017.


Closing Bell: Gainers: GAIL (+4%), Yes Bank (+2.5%), Bosch (+2%). Losers: Ambuja (-3.5%), Dr Reddy’s (-2%).

Narayana Hrudayalaya stock dips 2% post expansion plans worth 500 Cr.

Puravankara stock surges 14.5% on 3,200 Cr investment plan.

L&T stock gains on bagging MMRDA order worth 8,650 Cr.

Nifty PSU Bank Index down 1%. Syndicate Bank, PNB (-2%), SBI (-1.4%), Andhra Bank, BOI (-1%).
