At the closing bell, indices were lower, erasing the morning gains, on account of profit booking. Reality, Metal and Banking stocks bloomed.
Nifty and Sensex rise for the second consecutive session as strong gains from Reality, Metal, and Bank sectors push the market upwards. Moody ratings boosted the investors’ sentiments, pushing the banking and financial sector up. Metal stocks bloomed with the gains of JSW Steel, Hindalco and Vedanta Limited.
the S&P BSE Sensex closed at 33,342 up by 235 points, while NSE Nifty ended trade at 10,283 up by 68 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index closed up by 1.03% at 16,673 whereas BSE Small-cap Index ended higher by 0.81% at 17,605.

Some buying was seen in Energy, FMCG, Finance, Healthcare, Metals, Industrials, and Bank sectors, while IT and Teck sectors showed weakness on the BSE.
The India Vix was up by 1.85% at 13.71.
Out of 1,983 stocks traded on the NSE, 1,050 advanced, 641 declined, and 292 remained unchanged today.
A total of 71 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 27 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Closing Bell: Gainers: Cipla, Maruti Suzuki, HDFC (+2%). Losers: Infy (-2%), TCS, Asian Paints (-1%).
GATI stock rallies 9% on 4-fold YoY jump in Q2.
IOC, BPCL, ONGC, HPCL stock gain on Moodys rating upgrade.
Nifty Realty Index gains 4% as govt increases carpet area of houses under PMAY. HDIL (+9%), DLF (+7%), Indiabulls Real Estate (+5%).
