Nifty and Sensex snap from their three-day losing streak to close on a positive note. The rise was backed up by strong gains in Telecom, IT, Metal and PSU Banks, which pushed the indices upwards. Among the prominent gainers were Infosys and Reliance, which gained by 4% and 2% respectively.
the S&P BSE Sensex ended trade at 33,106 up by 346 points, while NSE Nifty closed at 10,214, up by 96 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index ended trade, up by 1% at 16,504 whereas BSE Small-cap Index closed higher by 1.10% at 17,462.

Closing Bell: Gainers: Infy, Bajaj Fin (+4%), SBI (+3%). Losers: Adani Ports (-2%), Coal India (-1%).
PSU Bank Index surged 3%. PNB, Indian Bank (+4%), OBC (+3.5%), Canara Bank, BoB (+3%), SBI (+2%).
Nifty IT Index gain 1% as rupee weakens against dollar. KPIT Tech, Infy (+3%), Mindtree, Tata Elxsi, TCS (+2%).
HDIL stock rises 4% on making part payment of dues to Andhra Bank.A total of 48 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 36 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
