SGX Nifty indicating a positive opening for the Indian markets.
Global markets
US: Markets witnessed a subdued trading session on Wall Street yesterday.
All the major averages all managed to end the day in positive territory.
The Dow climbed 0.3% to 23,430.33, the Nasdaq edged up 7.92 points or 0.1% to 6,790.71 and the S&P 500 closed 3.29 points higher at 2,582.14.
The mildly positive sentiment was mainly on account of the report released by the Conference Board, which indicated a much bigger jump by its index of leading US economic indicators in the month of October.
Europe also managed to close in the green on green yesterday with FTSE up 0.12%, CAC up 0.40%, DAX up 0.50%.
FII /DII Data: In yesterday’s trade FII’s sold 358 crores stock in the cash market whereas DII’s bought 613 crores worth of stock.
In the derivative market, FII’s bought 211 crores of Index futures and sold 892 crores worth of Index options.
In the stock futures segment, FII’s sold 612 crores worth of stock futures and bought 50 crores stock options.
