Nifty IT Index Rises 1%; KPIT Gains 3%

Nifty Index is trading marginally lower in the afternoon trade. Nifty IT index up by 1% and is the only sectoral index trading in the green.

KPIT Technologies Ltd is currently trading at Rs 176.9, up by Rs 5.65 or 3.3% from its previous closing of Rs 171.25 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 171.3 and has touched a high and low of Rs 178.5 and Rs 171.3 respectively.

Infosys Ltd is currently trading at Rs 984.75, up by Rs 18.45 or 1.91% from its previous closing of Rs 966.3 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 970 and has touched a high and low of Rs 994.35 and Rs 969.85 respectively.

Tech Mahindra Ltd is currently trading at Rs 490.35, up by Rs 7.5 or 1.55% from its previous closing of Rs 482.85 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 482.9 and has touched a high and low of Rs 492.65 and Rs 482.8 respectively.

Tata Elxsi Ltd is currently trading at Rs 957, up by Rs 8.65 or 0.91% from its previous closing of Rs 948.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 953 and has touched a high and low of Rs 966.85 and Rs 942 respectively.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was 3 points up at 10,344, while the BSE Sensex was 7 points lower at 33,555.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 18 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
