Nifty and Sensex rebound after strong gains in Auto, Reality and Consumer Durables sector. Tata Motors, ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infratel, and Wipro are among the gainers
Nifty and Sensex start trading in the green as buying is seen in several sectors including Auto, Reality, and Consumer durables. Nifty Auto Index gains over 1%, as Tata Motors, Apollo Tyres, and Mahindra & Mahindra gain 3%.
the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 33,773, up by 87 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,463 up by 11 points.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.43% at 16,785.15 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up by 0.36% at 17,920.65.
Tata Motors, ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infratel, and Wipro are among the gainers, whereas HPCL, BPCL, Yes Bank, UPL, and Sun Pharma are losing steam on NSE.
Some buying seen in Auto, Reality and Consumer Durables sectors, whereas Energy, Bank and Power sector show weakness on the BSE.
The India Vix is up by 7.47% at 12.80.
Out of 2,007 stocks traded on the NSE, 903 advanced, 781 declined, and 323 remained unchanged today.
A total of 120 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 17 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
27 lakh shares of SAIL trade in a block deal; stock down 2%.
