Nifty FMCG Index is trading in the positive territory. Shares of Britannia, Godrej Industries and UBL are trading higher by 2% respectively.
The BSE FMCG index gained 0.64% or 66 points at 10,357 as against the previous close of 10,291. The BSE FMCG opened at 10,296 and hits a high of 10,365 and a low of 10,268.
The sectoral breadth of BSE FMCG was divided with 44 stocks advancing and 32 stocks declining.
ITC stock is the major contributor in BSE FMCG Index followed by Britannia.
Meanwhile, in the broader market the BSE benchmark Sensex is trading marginally up at 33,258, up 7 points.
ITC Ltd is currently trading at Rs 263.9, up by Rs 3.8 or 1.46% from its previous closing of Rs 260.1 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 261.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs 264.4 and Rs 259.25 respectively.
Britannia Industries Ltd is currently trading at Rs 4856.15, up by Rs 97.55 or 2.05% from its previous closing of Rs 4758.6 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 4757 and has touched a high and low of Rs 4863 and Rs 4751.75 respectively.
Godrej Industries Ltd is currently trading at Rs 570, up by Rs 10.45 or 1.87% from its previous closing of Rs 559.55 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 565 and has touched a high and low of Rs 573.45 and Rs 563 respectively.
Emami Ltd is currently trading at Rs 1268.25, up by Rs 16.4 or 1.31% from its previous closing of Rs 1251.85 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 1250.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1269 and Rs 1250 respectively.
