The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 25,210 down 100 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,665 down 37 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.96% at 10,693, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 1.57% at 11,243.
BHEL,TCS, HUL, ITC, Wipro, HDFC Bank and M&M are among the gainers, whereas Vedanta, Bharti Airtel, Lupin, Sun Pharma, Dr.Reddy's Lab, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Axis Bank and Hero MotoCorp are losing sheen on BSE. The India VIX (Volatility) index up 2.83% to 16.4250.
Some buying activity is seen in FMCG and IT, while auto, pharma, metal, oil and gas, telecom, banking and realty sectors are showing weakness on BSE. Out of 1,761 stocks traded on the NSE,1,271 declined and 218 advanced today. A total of 20 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 43 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
