The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 25,706 down 29 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,821 down 13 points.The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.24% at 11,015, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.45% at 11,679.
Some buying activity is seen in pharma, consumer durable, capital goods,auto and banking sectors, while IT, teck, metal, FMCG and energy sectors are showing weakness on BSE.
Sun Pharmaceuticals, Tata Steel, SBI, Cipla, Tata Motors, HUL, Dr. Reddy's Lab, Axis Bank and Bajaj-Auto are among the gainers, whereas Adani Ports, Infosys, Coal India, TCS, ITC, ONGC, M&M, HDFC, RIL and Maruti Suzuki are losing sheen on BSE.
The India VIX (Volatility) index is up 0.52% to 14.3000. Out of 1,767 stocks traded on the NSE, 500 declined and 985 advanced today.
A total of 73 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while six stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
