The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 25,259 down 52 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,687 down 14 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.93% at 10,823, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 1.07% at 11,452.
BHEL, ITC, Tata Motors, Sun Pharma and HDFC Bank are among the gainers, whereas Dr. Reddy's Lab, Bharti Airtel, Vedanta, Tata Steel, GAIL, Hindalco and Coal India are losing sheen on BSE. The India VIX (Volatility) index up 0.79% to 16.1000.
Some buying activity is seen in FMCG and consumer durables, while pharma, metal, oil and gas, telecom, banking and realty sectors are showing weakness on BSE. Out of 1,731 stocks traded on the NSE,864 declined and 483 advanced today. A total of 13 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 24 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
