Nifty has been struggling above the important mark of 9,900. The index may have strong support around 9770 while 9925 followed by 50-DMA of 9946 will act as resistance on the upside.
Bank Nifty index has been hovering above the 24,100 mark. The index faces resistance around 24350 while 24000 will act as support on the downside. Godrej Agrovet Limited IPO is open for subscription from Wednesday and has received subscription of 4% as of 1045 hours.
The S&P BSE Sensex is up 124 points at 31,621, while Nifty is up by 42 points at 9,901. A total of 21 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 31 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. There are 1,095 advances, 492 declines and 375 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting mixed sentiments floating in the market.Hindustan Petroleum, Aurobindo Pharma, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Dr Reddy’s and Lupin are among the gainers, whereas Coal India, Bharti Airtel, TCS, Eicher Motors and Tata Motors are losing on the NSE.
